Waye Mason

Waye Mason is a part-time troublemaker, full-time strategic planner, and long-time community builder based in Halifax. He is an entrepreneur, educator, and former municipal councillor with over 30 years of leadership in business, community building, and the arts and culture sector. Waye excels at crafting and executing strategic plans that drive positive change and is known for his proactive, innovative approach. He has successfully grown businesses, led member organizations, and made significant contributions to the arts and culture sector provincially and nationally.

As a public speaker, Waye is engaging, media-savvy, and is known for his ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas. He has worked with communities, stakeholders, and organizations to deliver impactful results and foster collaboration. Waye’s experience includes successfully navigating complex legislative processes, developing economic development strategies, liaising with Indigenous communities, and leading local and national sustainability initiatives.

Roy Cleeves

Roy Cleeves is a dedicated real estate professional and investor with deep experience in helping families achieve stable housing. With a strong background in property development and rent-to-own strategies, Roy brings practical insight into how sustainable housing models can thrive in local communities. Passionate about creating opportunities for people of all income levels, he supports our mission to expand affordable housing options and promote long-term community growth.

Joanne Archer

Joanne Archer is a seasoned REALTOR® with over 16 years of experience and a deep commitment to community, advocacy, and equitable access to housing. She is currently working toward creating pathways for affordable, non-profit housing to help ensure that every individual and family has a safe and stable place to call home.

Before entering real estate, Joanne spent 15 years as an Educational Assistant, supporting students with special needs, life skills programs, and at-risk youth. That experience strengthened her dedication to giving a voice to those who may feel unheard. Her career also includes work in Canada’s aerospace sector at COM DEV, contributing to Inmarsat and other global satellite programs.

In addition, Joanne spent nine years teaching fitness and working as a personal trainer, empowering others to achieve physical and mental wellness. A proud mother of two and new grandmother, she has also represented Canada in Tae Kwon Do at both the Ontario and World Games.

Across every chapter of her life, Joanne’s purpose remains the same — to serve others with integrity, compassion, and action. Through her work in real estate and community housing initiatives, she continues to advocate for equitable opportunities and sustainable living for all.

Andrew Mooney

Andrew Mooney brings extensive experience in construction and project management to the Board. With a strong background in coordinating housing developments and community projects, he is dedicated to building quality, affordable homes that strengthen local neighborhoods. Andrew’s practical insight and commitment to collaboration help advance our mission of creating inclusive, sustainable housing for all.
